Hahn Air flies José Carreras to the “Goldene Sonne 2019”
Exciting times at Weeze, the regional airport on the Rhine: The world-renowned opera singer José Carreras flew in from Barcelona on a Hahn Air private charter jet. The legendary tenor received an award and was the guest of honour at the TV Gala “Goldene Sonne” hosted by the broadcaster Sonnenklar.tv.
For the 13th time, celebrities and leading figures in the travel and media industries gathered alongside hundreds of guests for the awards ceremony at the ‘Wunderland Kalkar’ venue. As well as José Carreras, who accepted the honour for his Leukaemia Foundation from Klaus Meine, singer of the band The Scorpions, there were performances from top entertainers such as the Weather Girls, Johnny Logan and Roberto Blanco. Other award winners included Peter Weck and Bernard Paul, founder of the Circus Roncalli.
“It was a fantastic evening with plenty of emotional moments and glamourous performances,” said Daniel Rudas, General Manager and COO of Hahn Air Lines. “It was an honour for us to fly José Carreras, and we hope we will see him again soon on board one of our business jets.”
